hi all....i got another problem in carrara 2.1 when i apply the aura effect to the scene below i get these jagged edges....the anti-aliasing is set to Best...when i turn the aura off the pic renders fine the object below is just made of 3 lofted polygons that were exploded.... clouds were added and rendered with hybrid raytracer with soft shadows... is this a bug or am i missing some setting? please help...thanks for any tips. =)

Do you have the distance attenuation turned on in the 3D aura? -Kix

I agree with Kix, it seems that you have DA turned off. TOXE

thanks for the advice guys....i tried turning on DA and leaving it at default setting 16.....no effect...the object still ended up looking jagged like the first pic above... i tried the aura with a simpler object....i used the sphere primitive and exploded it...turned on DA to 16, anti alias at best, and soft shadows...it looks like the jaggies are there again but its hard to see what they look like though cause of the aura....but you can clearly see black spots/creases though.... any more suggestions? thanks again for the help...much appreciated.

You can try to: -set the filter sharpness to 0 -add a value of 1 in the blur object effect hmm, no other ideas at the moment, let me know if this help... TOXE

Wasn't there a problem with the post effects not being anti-aliased correctly until C3? Light cones is what I am thinking about, but maybe it would be applicable to aura as well.... Markd

How about setting transparent objects to allow light through when rendering? Is that turned on or off?
