Well, throw in more islands in the background, import a castle and put it on one, use the tree(branhes/leaves) for more vegetation in the foreground...Good luck!

hey, its a nice beginning of a landscape!! i like your sky, but i think the water sits to still, maby add some waves. and i think it needs some more trees and stuff in the foreground

Maybe some rocks and vegitation in the foreground would add more eye candy (more to look at) to the image, but this scene is developing well.

re: water - I've seen the ocean that still. It can be very evocative if used right. I like how it looks.

here's a simple trick, copy/paste the terrain, and size the copy just a bit smaller in a dimension. Now texture it with another material, and blend the two (move one around somewhere)..that'll give you some contrast, and liven it up..good tree..keep at it.

I LOVE your tree! Just keep adding more trees, make some small ones and shrub-ify them? Also, try adding some more low terrains, and give it kind of a lagoon feel?

Ditto, I really like the tree. I agree, you may want to put rocks protruding out of the water even on the terrain itself, also terrains in the distance. Play with the atmosphere and light a bit, It looks great but maybe you can make it even better. ;-)
