Check on Planit3D. Steve Shanks donated one.

Batronyx, I think your refering to the Guinipig?... scale him a bit and he may make a hamster..?

Ooops. Well, can you tell I never had either for a pet? LOL

Oh they both make GREAT pets, and then you feed them to the better pet....Reticulated Python!!

JTrout also made a Chipmunk and a Mouse in Free Stuff. Added to Steve's Guinea Pig, you should be able to make one of them into a decent hamster. tsc (Stormrage) made a cage and habit-trail and an explorer-ball IIRC for the DAZ House Mouse... so once you get your hamster, you can keep him safe from pythons! I keep hoping someone will make a model that can morph from a hamster to a guinea pig to a "Tribble" (for the Trekkies). I tried to make the "House Mouse" tail-less as a hamster but he ended up with a hole in his behind (LOL).

The House Mouse's legs go the wrong way. You'll never get a realistic hamster out of him. He makes a fine cartoon critter. That said, if you simply made the tail invisible, of course you'll have a hole! You can use the cone primitive to make a small fake tail, parent it back there, and slap on some matching texture. If it is furry instead of black, people shouldn't notice.

Hamsters haven't got furry tails, have they? They're small but aren't they kinda like a mousies tail? Never had a ham(p)ster, they're not as long-lived as guineapigs, and easier to squash by mistake ;o)

I used to have hamsters and now have 7 guinea pigs. Hamster tails are short, bald, pink nubby things. The link is to a picture (not sure if it's drawn or 3D) that shows what a hamster tail looks like. I may still have some photos around of my hamsters if they would help anyone.

I agree with Pigfish (hiya pigfish!) - guinea pigs looks nothing like hamsters. Guinea pigs are fat, round and furry - like wigs with little legs. They do not have a tail. Hamsters are small, squarer with little legs and funny little pink tails. They also have big eyes. I made a crap guinea pig once (he is on my site at elgyfu.co.uk if anyone feels sorry enough for him to give him a home - he has the hole in the bottom syndrome too). I did try turning the mouse into a hamster but it just would not look like it.
