Something I'm working on, I thought they looked so nice I'd post a pic. While they aren't at that state (yet), I wonder if anybody would be intrested in purchasing super - detailed version of these. I was thinking about putting in all the things that everybody leaves out, like all the little stitching depressions where the shoes is sewn togeather, a full inner lining (I do a sole-only one now, I gather most others don't bother with that), things like that. Would be suitable for closeups off the foot, could still be worn, of course. For those who like nice shoes, sorta. ;-)

They're loverly!!! Are they for V3, Steph Petite (crosses fingers!), or the glamorous ladies of yours? 8-)

I was wondering...could you make something like a rounded toe thick healed shoe? like the ones popular is the 40s and 50s.? mmm like the ones betty grable wore in her infamouse pinup?

Great work. I can hardly wait to play with them...(did that sound right?)

Thanks guys!- They are on Ingenue Vickie right now,I had to do a super-tight shoe morph to get them on (she suffers so for the sake of fashion), but if I did a set I'd probably have versions for GV, IV and V3, maybe even Stepanie Petite, except her feet are just SO big. I'l have to think about the Betty Grable style, maybe for a future set. Pointed toes are all the rage now though!

:)! yes pointy toes and stilletos are back.>.< though I still prefer the thicker heals and rounded toe they make a foot look so small. ~giggles~ your shoes are just so great hope you do a retro set!

I do like those! I just love the metal touch on the bottom of the heel!

Great looking shoes, Jim. Yes......I think that you will find a sufficient demand for highly-detailed models.

I think they will do pretty well for closeups, this is just a simple reflection map, no bump map or anything (yet). I made a "crease" for all the seams where a shoe is sewn, I want to try bump-mapped stitching along it. Polygon count is under 6,000 for the pair (they weren't modeled with NURBS), so they will still be light enough for everyday wear, too. ;-)

Wonderful!! Now...how do I get some for V2?

texmextortilla posted Fri, 12 March 2004 at 3:52 PM

I think I'm going to include morphs to get V3 into them, I don't know about V2 though, anybody still use V2? ;-) If I do any V2 stuff I aughta do morphs for Hifashion Vickie and Supermodel Vickie first. I miscounted the polygons BTW, read "under 10,000" for "under 6,000", still not to bad. Here is a link you guys might find intresting, I don't plan on charging that much for mine!
