You do very well with Carrara. I have it, but mostly use it for renders. The vertice count does look a bit low, this might make it more difficult to make posable. The more verts the smoother the bending. -JH.

Just a point, I think the three-headed devil dog you're thinking of was called "Cerebus" in greek mythology.

Yes you are both correct, Jeff I try to keep the vertice count low untill I am done with the complete model. It makes it much easier for me to attach teeth and so forth and make my changes, unfortunately I am running on a PIII 450mhz with an Oxygen-VX1 and 256mg of RAM. when I get too many poly counts in the vertex room, It makes it hell for me to model. My systems boggles down badly, but so far I did give it a test of a multires subdivide and the facets maintained nicely, it even gave it a muscled look. Thanks for commenting guys Love and Peace Serge

serge's technique is a valid one; i'm using the same strategy to model vampi & friends. i create the model using the least amount of vertices that will yield the desired result with a final smoothing subdivide. for me it's not a question of computing power (i've got plenty) but one of management; juggling fewer vertices is just easier on one's eyes, brain and sanity. that said, let's see the subdivided mesh!
