Eovia just released TransPoser today for Carrara 3 and Poser 5. The features page states that is supports animations, including hair and cloth animations. Does anyone know anything more? Anyone try it yet?

Ok. I leaped too quick. It only supports the cloth animations and not P5 hair.

Yes. It's wonderful to work with. I've put together several images really easily. Carrara's photon mapping rocks! I like working in Carrara cuz I can actually create the other geometry I need. I'll post some more tomorrow, but there is one at the link above if you want to see what you can accomplish with this. Of course there are many in this forum that much better stuff I'm sure!! Here's another example of the TransPoser tool in use. Mark

Thanks Mark. Is that Judy or a DAZ figure in the Water Softner image? Has anyone tried TransPoser w/ DAZ figures? It should not make a difference, but I'm just wondering if they were tested.

Just what I've been waiting for.

Time to purchase Carrara 3.

I like your sample images, Mark.

Very nice images, Mark. Do you know if TransPoser has been tested in OS X?

MarkBremmer posted Tue, 16 March 2004 at 2:31 PM

Yes, I'm running OSX and P5. While I'm not on Jaguar, a couple of the testers were. No issues. Mark

At least it supports dynamic clothes, apparently... but not dynamic hair, which is a shame. Still, having Carrara 3 and P5 already, it seems almost silly not to get this. Certainly the most frustrating thing about P5 is the slowness (and instability) of the renderer...

Mateo, I saw it at MacWorld where Antoine was demoing it for me. Looked really nice and smooth (although for some reason he was having too much fun running characters around to relinguish the mouse). He said "soon" so I'm verrrrrrry glad to see this out now. Carolly
