Hi - will increasing RAM substantially speed up render times in Vue D'Esprit? Also - Does the Mover 5 upgrade allow for network rendering in Vue D'Esprit? Is this the same version of Mover that comes with Vue Pro? Thanks for the help.

More RAM will not make render time faster, but more CPU speed will. Of course, Mover 5 allows network rendering if you install rendercow on all your machines. Mover 5 is the same for Vue 4.2 and Vue 4 Pro. It only will work differently in Vue 4 Pro as in Vue 4.

I've got a 3Ghz Pentium 4, and rendering takes time, with all the 3D softwares I'm using (Vue PRO, Maya 4.5 ...). The only way to render faster is network rendering.

Not sure I agree. If you have a Pentium IV 2700 with 256 RAM and a Pentium IV 2700 with 1 Gig of RAM, you are telling me they will render at the same speed? Why?

We need one of the computer specialists here to answer this technically correct. More RAM allows you to work faster while creating a scene and not to get messages like "out of memory". But CPU is the only one that can bring up more speed. More Ram gives more "endurance" to Vue or other software.
