1Rover1. Didn't Mark have darker hair? Hard to judge from the poor-quality videos I've viewed.

grrrr -- ^^ It's funny... the show was so violent that when it originally aired in Japan in 1972... it caused an uproar... and when Sandy Frank sliced it up into BotP in 1979... they cut so much out, that they had to ad those robotic morons to fill the space (and cash in on star wars)

I won't even dwell on why they gave Jinpei that bizarre speech impediment and named him Keyop.

Berserga- Sorry about using the words "Battle of the Planets", but I figured that's what most Americans would know. You're completely correct- I should have said "Gatchaman". :) See my lastest posting for the next character: Jason. The rest of the team will be coming this week- one character every day. Mark's hair is a lighter brown, but Jason's is darker. I couldn't find a hair style that matched the cartoon, so I settled on the "Full Feathered" hair. If anyone has a better idea, please let me know. P.S. Don't forget that 7-Zark-7 provided narration to make sure the audience knew that the enemy soldiers were either robots (which were okay to kill) or that the human soldiers were merely knocked out. --John

When I was a little girl I WAS Princess! My best mate was actually called Mark but he liked JASON better. Oh, happy memories!

Hehe I used to run around the house with a towel tied around my neck throwing "bird-rangs" I liked Mark best (guess I'm uncool :D Years later when I discovered the original Gatchaman I fell in love all over again (It's worlds better... and holds up incredibly well for a show that is 32 years old! I think the hair is a decent match. I've managed to get about 18 eps on LD and a couple of the soundtrack CDs. I definately can't afford the whole series at around 100 eps. The US BotP DVDs are supposed to have the original Japanese eps too. Say ya know what would be too cool for words John? if you did Ken's (Mark's) G1 fighter plane!

Ooooh or Joe's car... complete with Gattling gun!
