I'm looking for a way of transforming a photo into line strokes that looks like a dollar bill line stroke effect... Anyone knows how to do that. I'm starting with a RGB color picture. I need to convert into a duotone and then, applying that stroke effect... Regards,

Attached Link: Series 3 screen effects
Actually, the Andromeda screen filters look a tad more like those old engravings: http://www.andromeda.com/info/series3.html (The link is to the frame the information is in, to buy it, go back to the homepage and click 'screens filter') Just my addition to the excellent ideas above...Boxx posted Fri, 26 March 2004 at 12:33 PM
Personally, I would use a vector art app, like Illustrator, to produce all the "swirly" lines and stuff. Photoshop is not much good at line art. There is a good plugin for Illustrator called "Array" from Panopticum for this. One trick I have used in the past is to "trace" the bitmap into vectors, and then drop the fills, and re-overlay the vector lines over the bitmap, so you get lots of fine lines. I would also reccomend you do the artwork in a high resolution as otherwise you will lose all that hard earned detail.
