Does anyone know where I can download a copy of Grouper 1.4? The original grouper site is a dead link and doing a web search only brings you back to that site. Thanks.

I've got a copy of 1.1 if it'll do.

Yep. That link is dead, too.

Has Grouper gone out of bussiness then? That would be real sad 'cos it is such a useful little app and I'd be totally lost without it. Catlin

AS, tried both of those links and still showing a deadlink. Is there is something eles similer to grouper? NHRN
bigbadelf posted Wed, 24 March 2004 at 8:10 AM
AS are you sure you're not looking at the site in cache or something? I get a network problem error in Opera whenever i try to go anywhere at castironflamingo.com.
sdnoble posted Wed, 24 March 2004 at 8:15 AM
It took me several tries to get http://www.castironflamingo.com/tutorial/grouper/ to come up. At no stage could I link directly to the second URL although the download link on first URL is the same path. That link works fine. NHRN, it's 2 mb, do you want it e-mailed to you ?
catlin_mc posted Wed, 24 March 2004 at 4:54 PM
Nope, I tried both of the links AS and get "page cannot be displayed". I've got Grouper but I do hope they haven't gone down for good. Does anyone know the email of those who made it? Catlin

Nope not cached on my part, I hadn't been to that page in quite some time, besides I purge cache before every sut-down. BUT, doesn't matter...it's NOW not working for me either...lol. I do have Grouper 1.4, anyone e-mail me if you want me to send it to you. agentsmith@renderosity.com

LOL, I'd be e-mailing if I knew what Grouper was for :) Is it to group Poser figures/animations for importing into Bryce?
AgentSmith posted Thu, 25 March 2004 at 1:57 AM
It's a middle-man software to help your textures carry over correctly with your Poser files into Bryce. AS

And it is totally priceles for what it does. 8) You know that there are so many textures to take with you when you import from Poser to Bryce and Grouper groups together all the objects that use the same texture, which can be invaluable when you have a complicated model to import 'cos then you only have to click on one part and it selects all the other parts when in Bryce. 8) Catlin
