Hi folks! Although I've been around R'osity for a while now, I'm new to this forum. A friend and I are just starting to use Carrara and were wondering if there are any good tuts floating around? I'm working my way through the manual and the in-program tut for this, but he's looking for more "meat and potatos" stuff.

Attached Link: On Eovia's site

There are also some on the eovia site, click the link! That was the first hit I got on modelling "carrara tutorial tutorials" on www.google.com but there is a lot more.

Hi Brian!!! Thanks! I hope to be able to do something useful with it. I guess I always felt to be successful at this you had to be good with Math and I think numbers are evil. But, I'm going to give this a try anyway.

Occasionally I have to do some basic algebra or geometry, but for the most part, the software handles all the calculations you'll ever need. And you don't even really have to be aware that there's calculating going on in there.... You're in for a lot of fun!

Arrggghhh!!! Please don't say those evil math words!!!! Okay, just kidding!!!! I was just never very good at it. Makes my head hurt. But the good news appears to be that the program will do most of the work. Ahhh, to let the creative side go.

Huh? Maths? Carrara is not POV Ray! Don't be afraid! Just create! (sounds like a nice slogan for Carrara) Have fun!

todd71 posted Fri, 26 March 2004 at 10:16 AM

or how about "Dont be afraid! Some ointment will clear it right up..."

elektra posted Fri, 26 March 2004 at 10:31 AM

Or "Don't be afraid, nothing you create will hurt you."

sfdex posted Fri, 26 March 2004 at 11:00 AM

Or perhaps, "don't be afraid, create some ointment." ?
