So anyone know some basic things to make Judy look alot more realistic? I'm imagining something in the face room would help out alot. But whenever I do mess in there it always looks like a guy! So can anyone help?

The "Farrah" package is really nice.

That's terrible! The simple solution would be crank the male/female morph to female. Might also help to crank the charicature dial into the negative range.

You can do a LOT with Judy...It just takes some experimenting with the face room, you can get pretty good results from even less than High quality photos. Since the end of February, I've used the poser 5 figures+face room exclusively... I saw a tutorial somewhere recently, I think it might even be in this forum. I'll see if I can find it for you.

Here's a pic of Judy with the Farrah package...not bad at all. SWAMP

Just messing around with Judy. Marque

Another thing that can sometimes produce dramatic results is to play around with xScale, yScale, zScale and Taper. Doesn't sound like much, but its worth playing around with.

I have Farrah and while she is a nice model you really can't do that much with her. When I try to pose her face it breaks up very easily. Marque

Not slamming the product, I think the source was probably tough to work with. Marque

Just in case you haven't adjusted the focal length of the face camera, try 100 or so. The default setting is way too low and tends to give a bug-eye look.

Here are some Judy faces from my morphs. These are rendered with the default texture (some have underlying tint added in Poser), but I prefer using better Victoria 2 textures. Elisa/gryffnn

Funny you should say so.. I've just made a morph today in z-brush.. I have some problems with it (see my thread about that) but I think she's looking pretty "Un-Judy-ish" here

I did this in the faceroom. Personally, I think she's pretty hot. And yes, she's Judy.

Brainmuffin, that is a BEAUTIFUL Judy. Not at all Judyish :o) You did a great job there, the eyes are really good.

Face Room is an excellent tool. Very easy to create characters that look like unique individuals and don't have the Daz stock look.

GladysClump posted Wed, 31 March 2004 at 1:33 PM

I agree, the face room is awsome, Judy really is a versatile character.

The left two were done in the face room, with photo imports. The top right is just Judy with magnets applied,
the bottom two were done in the face room, but have the
default skin texture, not the face room skin texture.

fls13 posted Wed, 31 March 2004 at 3:12 PM

The one on the bottom left looks like the actress Minnie Driver. Coincidence?

GladysClump posted Wed, 31 March 2004 at 3:26 PM

LOL, nope ;) not coincidence.

I'm glad to see other people using Judy and the Face Room too.... maybe I'll eventually be able to buy some new outfits for Judy.... Does anyone know if Vicki's clothes can be used for Judy? Oh, and Baka, I use two dials specifically to make her look more feminine and pretty, Male/Female dialed up towards Female, and Younger/Older Dialed towards younger. Remember, too, if you set the caricature dial to negative, it reverses the other dials. (Negative and positive swap) I'm not sure if every dial gets swapped, but I know for a fact that younger/older and male/female do. Hey, I'm going to start a new thread about the faceroom. I think we should all get together there and swap tips and techniques. Maybe if we can show the community that Don & Judy are just as versatile as Vicki & Mike, using them will catch on a bit better...

Ok. I posted The thread. I'm going to post my tutorial to my site tonight.
