Hi all, Sometimes when you do a full-body nude render of a Poser character, you end up with floppy-looking arms, where the armpit seems to almost extend to the top of the shoulder. I tried to find some examples of this in the DAZ Store's advertising, but couldn't find it. I have seen it many times in images in the R'osity gallery, though. I would provide my own example, except I don't have Poser installed on the PC that I am using to send this message. I'm sure I've seen this problem addressed (and fixed) before, but for the life of me I can't find where. There is a similar problem in the legs where the groin "folds up", almost giving the impression that the legs are detachable - almost like a store mannikin. Are there fixes for these problems ? regards, Andrew

I'm now at home, so I can provide an example of rag-doll arms. This is V3. Can you see how the arm looks totally atrophied ? How can this be fixed ?

See the thread about the SIMS, they also complain about the shoulders there. It is a big problem for me too. That's why all my characters are robots or wear armour, so that you don't see the stupid shoulders.

Only way I know to fix this is mucho postwork cutting/pasting, cloning and such. At least that is whatI do in extreme cases, feeling comfortable with a good graphics editing program can cover up or change many of the shortcomings found in Poser pictures.

And when you are animating? How do you postwork out all the elbows and armpits? Best to hide them when animating.

I call them "macaroni shoulders". That's why I still prefer the PT Girl and the V2V3 Hybrid (Vic3 head on the REAL Vic2 body). I find it a lot easier to postwork broken joint meshes, than those odd looking shoulder, elbow, and knees that smoosh out. SWAMP
