Here is a quick render of a model I'm playing with. After seeing some of the homan (female) models on this site, I feel like my model sucks. But, I wanted to share it anyway. I'm not happy with the legs. I made them long to take bones and them bend later. I want to put hair on it but I'll play with a bump map for this. Any suggestions for hair text. map or bump map? lbd

Never Give Up!

I don't think it sucks, I think you might need a bit more work. Once you texture it and use "Anything Grows", it should work pretty good.

Hey! Animals are hard and I think you're doing just fine! Don't kid yourself. Organics are tough (as a perspective, I've never been able to truly accomplish it!). -Kix

You're well on your way! better than I've gotten so far... and all my models end up having really big ears . . . So far I've only acomplished morphs of poser figures in Carrara. ... so yours is really good! keep picking away at it and remember to save often! cheers, - TJ

here is my first ever modeled animal,it is a rhinopig?i lost the model after a crash(grr).i will recreate it someday, and make some better legs.i wanted to make it realistc but now it is more like a plastic toy.

Daigoro, I had the same problem. The Carrara crash and I lost a model. But, after update the Carrara 3.0 to 3.0.3 I could recover it. Since the update, I never lost any model...but Carrara still crashing like a hell... ^_^!
I agree with Kix, ominousplay. Animals and organics are hard to make in 3D, is a incredible challenge for the artists. I think your model is very good, dont give up.

The yellow model looks like a baluchitherium, an extinct animal related to rhinos, which was actually larger than a reticulated giraffe, and several times heavier.

thanks noviski, carrara was not the problem,it was a heavy computer crash. thanks mateo im going to search for baluchitherium via google.

I was trying to make a teddy bear. But it turned out more like a hover car.

Both the hover car and the prehistoric rhino are great models. How did you get the Rhino so smooth? Is it a metaball model? I like the pimp hover car.
