Hiho, Which of these do you generally like best? The first, here, is a simple sky atmosphere flipped four times. my skiptisism over this much effort is that it leaves a vertical horizon in many instances. = )

Second is an example of a single mirror that has been flipped hirizontally, once, below the horizon, so as to almost make a spiral-like looking effect. My reservation with this procedure is that it often leaves an unbalancing slanted area between the horizon and clouds.

And finally we have a simple mirror of a sky, that anyone could make, much more realistically, with any good photograph of an ocean and sky...

I think that you somehow expect the clouds to radiate outwards from the center. In this respect the topmost image works best for me, but I agree that the mirrored symmetry looks too obvious and contrived. Perhaps render two sky planes, flip one vertically and join?

A nice thought, but then I'm really still trying to get them to look similar at some level.
