Yes, this isn't the world's best texture, but it should give an idea of what I am talking about.
If there's interest, I'll post this as a material with a dummy texture so people can easily substitute their own. Any textures you make and save as a material using my dummy as a base can distributed as you like. (If anyone wants the texture for the Xena Anime Magik set, I'll toss that in as well.)
As always, thanks to stewer and Mazak for the groundwork on the toon variations!

Okay, I admit - I ran out of time last night before I could package this, but I wanted to show off. ;-)Here are the settings and the link to the file with the texture. The file is about 70kb - most of it is a larger size version of this picture so it will be easier to modify the settings for what you need.

LOL! Remember when I asked you if I could distribute a shader based on your free file? Well that would be almost exactly it. I haven't tried it with the texture plugged into the ink node though. Does it give a smoother line? BTW, if you play with the spread, you can get softer shadows. Cool! >^_^< Did you know it accepts MAT files as well? You have to set up each material with the texture to toon node by hand, but subsequent MAT textures go straight to the toon nodes in one click. I set up a figure or prop like this, and then save it back to the library. Then when I need a toon shaded character, she's all ready to go, and I can change the textures in one click. You have to keep the image attached to the diffuse node if you want to be able to view it in the window. THe diffuse can be set at zero, but you will be able to see a decent preview. It renders like a dream too, because there is no need to use shadows. You can create shadows with light placement, and enhance them if desired, in postwork.

It will take transparencies too. Just leave the transparency nodes the way they are in the MAT pose.

hmm nice , crescent.. at least there also are some ways to creativefully use tons of cliparts too :) btw it is a good feat you achieved, in p5. But what for P4 users ? it won't work... well anyway, after the blackline fixing, it was the secodn thing i managed to learn how to handle (textured clothes). Can show you some uses of it (on mayaX bbs there is a thread with a redhair girl wearing a logo tshirt i made...) and also for cellshaded look of texture, i have "Morning Swimmer", a good example of when i finally got it right after many attempts... my 2 cents/point would be: it is rather easier to do this through layering/compositing than trying to achieve this in poser itself (hmm in p4 i mean, i cannot judge for p5 features, do not have it) can mix up preview modes on variosu elemetns (mix cartoon, textured, smooth ones, but usually it is dull) see ya and thanx for your work ! (if you want the trick for compositing a "texured cloth layer", just ask i'll try to explain"
