Is there an easy way to make a character bow-legged and have the bow-leggedness stick (more or less) through pose application? I've set up the character in the neutral pose for the appearance I want by adjusting the angles of the thighs, shins and feet. I anticipate having to apply one or two dozen different poses (squatting, running, climbing) for a series of still scenes and making those adustments after applying the pose will be more difficult than in the neutral position. Thanks.

You could limit the side-side mobility of these articulations by altering the min and max parameters of each one of them. Thus, even after applying the pose, the limb would stay more or less in the right shape.

For an easy way by applying a pose, compiler's answer is probably the only way, but I think you might get better looking results with morph targets

An alternative to using joint rotations and limits would be to use magnets targeting the hips, thighs, and shins, then spawning morph targets. You could then use a delta (morph) injection pose to load and set the morphs.

Of course this is a lot more work to set up, so it's not exactly an "easy way", and morphs are specific to the base geometry.

Thanks. I did a quick test of compiler's approach, limiting two angles on one shin and applying various extreme poses. It appeared to work well. The morph target approach seem more robust however. I may end up using that.
