Hi, I'm looking for a hat. You know the style. a desert cap, kind of a baseball hat with cloth flaps coming off the back. A conforming figure would be best, but a prop would work too. Does anybody know where I can find this. Thanks

IIRC, that is called a "kepi", and a search for French Foreign Legion type stuff ought to get you the right hat. It certainly isn't anything like a baseball cap, because the top is flat, nor ribbed or domed. If you find a decent kepi, you can always make it white and add the flap to protect the neck. (maybe trekkiegrrrl's morphing props would work) Carolly

@cooler : just a bit of nitpicking : the legionaires' kepi is never cammo but white, with a black visor. The cloth covering the back was worn in the 1930's and 40's but has now been discarded.

compiler, you're assuming that the kepi is a French foreign legionaires :-). It was actually modelled after a modern kepi still in use by the Russian army. The flap was added by request, not in an effort to be historically accurate.
