Hi, This is a unfinished scene i've made today, i hope you like it . But now i'm stuck to improve it . That's what happens when you look too much at a pic you've made : you get used to its defects and can't see what's wrong ... Next time i'll work with a blindfold ! ;) So i really need your suggestions !

Looks great! The upper left is kinda blank... Maybe add the moon up there? -or- A ship in the distance (on the left) -or- Another small land mass out in the left area (in the distance)? Just a few suggestions. The terrain and water look great! Maybe a few more light clouds to help fill the sky? I hope that at least helps get the wheels rolling for you. I don't see any defects, but you might want to try a more dramatic sky. Keith

I agree on the sky suggestions, everything else is great. Should be lighter sky near the horizon line. The distance to the horizon is far grater over water then it would be over land.

I'd agree with making the sky more dramatic. You might also want to plant some trees on the island to help establish scale. Right now the island might be a fairly small lump of rock and dirt with moss growing on it; it's hard to tell how big it is. Good, fun work, though....

Looks Great! Maybe some ripples in the water esp. on top of the reflection. and/or you could put one or two moons in the upper left ie: for an alien landscape. Hope this helps!

Thanks a lot for your comments, guys . I've cleared the horizon line like willf suggested and it looks much better . Now about the sky : i want a very clear tropical sky, so i have completely deleted the clouds . And now it looks very, very empty ! So i will add some seagulls, and maybe a few more flying birds ( what do you think about penguins ? ;) ) . Well, the main problem seems to come from the scale, as Azchip noticed . I've improved the water, the island and its shader a bit, but it will not be enough ... I'll try the palm tree idea . Anyway, i will post the scene in the gallery when finished . Thanks again . litst litst.@freesbee.fr
