Does anybody know if the full Carrara animation tool set can be used on figures imported (using Transposer) from/with a Poser scene? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

what exactly are you trying to do? I haven't used it for a lot of animation yet - I guess I better check that out a bit more. You do have to do your animating in Poser though - but it does come in as an object and I would think you could use physics and modifiers like most objects. ~she trots off to fool with that some now :)

Hehe. Well. My main interest is character creation and animation. I do Poser when I feel lazy, which is more often than I care to admit ;) Posers animation tools are quite limited, so I'm kinda hoping the animation tools in Carrara will work with Poser figures. I'm spoiled on the very powerful feature set in Animation Master, but I still like to bop around between different apps for a change of pace. While Carrara is no where near as strong as Animation Master it would still be a significant step up from Posers animation capabilities.

I agree with you. I've read that character animation is a major focus for the next version of Carrara - that was stated a while back when C3 came out. I've been setting up a Carrara rig for Poser figures, which is coming along pretty well by now. Its doable, but complicated. The results are well worth the effort though.
