1,2 : ? 3 : Lucy Liu 4 : Britney Spears Since you are at it, can you make a Katharine Hepburn and a Humphrey Boggart clone ? We'll need them now that DAZ has issued the African Queen. (they just forgot the 2 oxygen bottles, but the boat is a very good likeness).

LOL JV!!!!!!!!!!! I def see a little alan alda in each of them. :> bungle, those are the best morph jobs I've seen in a long time. Im usually skeptical about morphing faces to look like some1 (as opposed to building the mesh from scratch). But you've def nailed it with Lucy Liu. Cameron and Drew I do see a resemblance. The britney one has a little bit of that Rocky Dennis from Mask thing goin' on, but is somewhat recognizable. Anyone interested in Digitally Cloning celebrities should check out the yahoo group dedicated to that topic, I co-moderate it with an incredibly talented 3D artist named CeeBee.ShadowWind posted Sat, 17 April 2004 at 4:20 PM

Carolly
Zarabanda posted Sun, 18 April 2004 at 3:05 AM
did I miss something? I dont see that quote anywhere in the thread.
hauksdottir posted Sun, 18 April 2004 at 4:42 AM
Bungle aka Achilles also started this same thread at DAZ.
mathman posted Sun, 18 April 2004 at 5:41 AM
Zarabanda, Moolah is one of my favorite characters in the WWE. Whe would be difficult to morph and pose, though.

Carolly aka haulsdottir has had a problem from day one with any topics i post, she spends alot of time looking at the renderosity and daz forums hoping i make a post so she can make snide remrks, I have asked here nicely to go away but she persists to pester me, Daz3d forums have warned her of this, I did not mention anything about my pak here(in this post) as I have been warned to follow the rules after twice posting stuff here and mentioning it was a product, Renderosity moderators told me the rules and I try to follow thwm, Carolly jumps at any opportunity she can grab to nark me off to the moderators as she has grudge, and i think may be a little jealous, I truly pity your sick mind carolly, I suggest you get a life other than interfering in other peoples, and once again kindly ask you to refrain from putting your negative input into my threads, perhaps you could apply for a job as aparking warden, i think that would be right up your alley, .... also the four ladies posted will not be sold therefore they are not products..!! open your eyes CAROLLY! b4 you rush off to NARK.... LOL p.s. i would love to see an Alan alda clone hehe
Zarabanda posted Mon, 19 April 2004 at 7:36 PM
Im not sure how this thread went so wrong, but I def don't see anything indicating that this belongs in the product showcase. LONG LIVE ALAN ALDA :)
JVRenderer posted Mon, 19 April 2004 at 8:29 PM
I think all Daz' characters are based on Alan Alda. For those who can't take a joke, yall should fart more often. The gas ya keep insides may travel up yer spine to yer head are really give you sh*tty ideas. btw bungle, I think #2 looks more like Selma Hayek than Alan Alda. #1 looks like a blonde Joan Cusack. ^5 Zara, Hehe.

hmm .. frankly I see no resemblance to anyone and the last one needs an opthmologist ...bad. Plus, you really should bone up on your rendering, if the render looks amateurish your product can only suffer. And a note? keep your greivances private. Carrolly made a very simple and polite point and you were most unneccasarily rude in public. Again, that only makes you look bad. Carolly I know and respect, you on the other hand? mmmmm ... lets just say you'll need to work to change my opinion at this point. mutters Kids these days have no manners I guess .... LOL JV :) Actually, I heard Daz's Anna-Marie Godard clone was ACTUALLY an Alan Alda clone, but they didn't want to risk the wrath of MASH's copyright lawyers. JV, do you think you could postwork a HOT PIC of Alan drenched in hot fudge? woohoo time to go cool off.

Subject: post - v3 ladies clelbs Instant Message from bungle1: THE reason i posted this in this forum is because i wanted to market these via daz, Daz has said they did not look like the pple they are suppposed too, i disagree and need a opinion from others to see if daz would agree to accepting cameron diaz clone this is why i posted it. NOT TO PROMOTE MY PAK!! - youve had a problem with me from day one, please stay away from my threads (Sent 4/19 18:30) ***************************************** Keep spinning it, Bungle, and someday you might even tell the truth. First, as to being jealous... Of YOU??? LOL!!! After 15 years in the games industry and enough award-winning games under my belt, the only people of whom I'm jealous are those who got in early enough to found the major companies (not because they are rich, but because they can make whatever game they want), and the only people I hold in esteem are the ones who initiated the genres (copying is easy, being first is a struggle on multiple fronts). In this community, the people I most respect and stand in awe of are the code-tweakers who have brought Poser to levels undreamed of by Larry when he first conceived of a digital mannequin as an artist's helper. BTW, the only posts of mine which DAZ deleted had to do with plagiarism, and that is why they tried to silence me, but there were no official warnings. Celebrity look-alikes often fall within copyright protections, so you do have a reason to be worried... but not from me. When your morphs become blatantly recognizable, then you may have problems with lawyers. Whether this is to promote the pack you have already released or to market these four faces as a future pack to go with your others, or even to force the commercial release of just the one face, this IS a commercial post originated by the marketer in order to sell product... not to answer questions or help people or anything else but to SELL your product. Whether you are selling to DAZ or to us doesn't matter. You are selling. That is against the rules of this Forum. You asked at DAZ if anybody would buy the set. If if doesn't meet DAZ standards, where else are you going to take it? (Personal note: I wouldn't download these even as freebies... I have my standards, too!) To further clarify your misconceptions: I have not singled you out for persecution. My time is precious. It doesn't matter if a promoter is an egocentric, illiterate teenager or a skilled professional with a decade of involvement in this community, I will complain about commercial posts in this Forum. I have even yelped at my friends. Fair is fair. Unless the rules are applied evenly, to everybody, there will be anarchy and widespread sullen resentment... neither of which is good for the community as a whole. The community is my concern... not your ego and not your pocketbook... the community. If you wish to sell to this community, I'd suggest making something people want, and doing it well, and promoting it in the correct venues. I'd also suggest practicing a bit more maturity, not trying to cheat, and telling the truth. Professional manners salted with a dash of humor might also help. Customers rely upon service as well as upon product. This is especially true in a virtual world. Carolly

xantor posted Tue, 20 April 2004 at 8:52 PM
I would say that these morphs are ok but not for selling to people so daz were right in this instance. Carolly (hauksdottir) seems to be right here, you are not supposed to post commercial products here, even if you don`t say that it is a commercial product.

Hauksdottir might be right at Daz, but not at this thread. No where in the initial thread were anything mentioned about these morphs being sold or being given as feebies. I am not defending bungle1, but defending future posters who just want to post a "poser related" (PLEASE READ THE TOS) subject simply asking for opinions. Last I checked people are still allowed to show off their poser related work. I don't care what's being said at Daz' forum, but at this thread I think bungle's unfairly prosecuted. The PM hauksdottir introduced in this thread might implicate Bungle, but that's after the fact. Frankly a PM is between hauksdottir and Bungle and has nothing to do with the public. And if bungle is wrong, then I wonder why this thread is still in the poser forum? Just my 2 pennies.
