Very nice, ow you're really tempting me to get te Bell. Does it have a interior, ie a cockpit?
Dale B posted Mon, 19 April 2004 at 7:23 AM
Yeeeehah! And from a quick look at vanishing point, the 222 has the interior as a seperate figure, so you can leave it out and darken the windows to lighten the polycount, or use your own interior (where's that japansese fan book with the 'Wolf's console specs now....?). That one goes on the definite buy list....wonder how much trouble it would be to figure out some kind of synch script to read the rotor settings on the chopper, and adjust the windforce and direction in a VuePro animation.

Airwolf VS Blue Thunder... You know it will happen... Heck why not make a K.I.T.T. too so you can have BATTLE OF THE SUPER 80s VEHICLES!

Where is Jan-Michael Vincent these days, anyway? I suppose that he flew off into the sunset.......
XENOPHONZ posted Mon, 19 April 2004 at 3:47 PM
K.I.T.T. is rusting in a junkyard somewhere. David Hasselhoff forgot about his old friends when he went off to the beach. He's a big celebrity in Germany. What does that say about Germans?
Khai posted Mon, 19 April 2004 at 3:58 PM
Jan-Micheal Vincent fell into a load of drug problems :( supposed to be clean now and Hasslehoff is supposed to be working on a Knight Rider movie now.. he's taking the part of the guy that sets the missions...
XENOPHONZ posted Mon, 19 April 2004 at 5:01 PM
Who'll play Michael Knight in the movie?
Jim Carrey?
Robin Williams?
So.....they've rescued K.I.T.T. out of the junkyard......or will the original K.I.T.T. be replaced by a Jaguar?
I doubt that K.I.T.T. will be played by a late 70's/early 80's model Trans Am.

As long as they don't rejuvenate the Knight Industries 4000 (K.I.F.T.) chassis ... I never cared much for its looks.

Actually, I read some details about the new Knight Rider movie. David Hasselhoff wants to play the "mentor" role (which used to be played by the deceased Edward Mulhare). He was quoted as saying that he wants the movie to be "serious, not like the recent Starsky & Hutch".
He's trying to get William Daniels (St Elsewhere, Boy Meets World) to reprise his role as the voice of KITT. And, as the lead role of Michael Knight's son... Ben Affleck!
And for anyone who thinks that Hasselhoff is dumb or lame or whatever... keep in mind that Knight Rider was a huge show. And he also executive produced a little show that was cancelled by NBC and then became one of the biggest shows in the world... something called Baywatch.
Now, what does this have to do with Airwolf? :)

Heh. Just the fact that like Baywatch and Knight Rider, Airwolf was the show that nobody wanted and refused to die... Ahhhh, if there were only a soundtrack from the series of the original UDI synth music...all the 'soundtrack' discs I've ever heard are too high and too 'tinny' in sound. Not to mention too bloody short.... Like the Bell 222, btw John. Very nice model And the Wolf rocks. Now I just have to trick out something that will animate properly for the rotors at speed....and dope out the wind effect sim for VuePro.... >:)

Airwolf, Knight Rider, Blue Thunder, StreetHawk (anyone else remember that one?), ViPER ... all variations on the same theme: techno-vehicle avenger.

Another thing they have in common is, without exception, they were all cheesy.
