While browsing a japanese online stores 3D section my jaws dropped onto the floor... I dont wanna talk down our products (I got much stuff myself at the marketplace), but compared to the professional japanese 3D model packages the marketplace looks like a cheap freeware collection... I didnt know you could even buy the original FeiFei model (If you dont know her, you just dont know digital beauties...), I admire her since I got a japanese DVD with some short movies... Theres so much stuff with extremely high quality, I really NEED to get some of it... I know many think Im just talking rubbish, so heres something to look at: http://www.pasoq.co.jp/shopping/soft/data/EXT0315.html http://www.pasoq.co.jp/shopping/soft/data/EXT0328.html http://www.pasoq.co.jp/shopping/soft/data/EXT0328.html http://www.pasoq.co.jp/shopping/soft/data/EXT0371.html http://www.pasoq.co.jp/shopping/soft/data/EXT0387.html Heres my favorite, FeiFei Gold package: http://www.pasoq.co.jp/shopping/soft/data/EXT0422.html Theres thousand of more examples, if you dont like them then you probably just dont like VERY good 3D models... Anyone knowing the japanese program "Shade 3D" (The company recently bought "Poser")? I wanna know if its possible to convert shade models to something usable(3dmax or so), without using the shade application?

On Windows, we've supported .SHD geometry import for quite some time. I dont know of any other products from western countries that have any Shade support. Shade Professional supports exporting to 3DS format. The trick would be the textures and materials, and for that I dont have an answer for you as I dont know what the maps are on FeiFei. Shade has dominated the 3D market in Japan for 15 years. Its a very good product, especially for precise modeling. It is possible to use Shade under an English OS, by the way, by removing a language file. That will leave some weirdness in one menu, but the rest of the application then reverts to English the next time you start the program. Ive been a casual Shade user for some time. Best regards, Lynn Fredricks e-on software

Hey, thanks a lot for the info... I think that already helped me a lot - at least Ill not crap the idea so soon, Im kinda "obsessed" by FeiFei and the Ultra photorealistic japanese models... Maybe Ill take a peek into shade... :)

If Poser 6 gets an injection of new code from Shade AND if Vue 6 supports Poser 6 (whenever these versions come out), then your dream of Fei Fei could be reality someday :)

I have Shade and some of those Shade related 3d models. I don't have product of girls. Food models are great, http://shade.e-frontier.co.jp/mori/m09_sample01.html but I love Flower/Plants models. http://shade.e-frontier.co.jp/mori/m02_sample01.html Yes Vue can import them, but not completely. Some of them lack texture information, some of them have broken geometries. And - they are HEAVY models, it takes long time to import the beautiful models. As "Digital Beauties Project" -include FeiFei-, they are FOR SHADE ONLY now. They are "LOCKED" Shade format, cannot export other 3D formats. I wonder Vue can read them.. I also wonder about integrate Poser and Shade. Poser is based on .OBJ format, it is polygon model. Shade is Bezier modeling soft. Shade is great app, but it seems somewhat unfriendly about data exchange for other 3D applications. As I know there is only one program can convert .shd to other formats: http://www.meshbox.com/english/eng_index.html I once used trial version, but the texture information could not convert. There are many free .shd models on Japanese sites, so you may download them and try import to Vue, or try convert other formats...

Thanks, H-Kana, I didnt know about the locked feature... Good to know something like that exists, I can read a little bit of japanese, but I had probably tried 100 times when I got such an error... Thank you, I will try some things first...

I tried importing shd models into my vue 4.1 windows, but vue didnt recognize the file format... Which version did you use to import .shd files into vue, was that vue 4 professional? Or any older version? I still got vue 3 and vue 2 for win somewhere around, should I use one of these?
