erm.. so I have this folder on my desktop called inspiration where I have all my models and textures, a place that I use quite frequently to save to and import from. well it's not there anyomre today. it had a nice green tree icon. HAS ANYONE SEEN IT???? so yeah, i don't know when I've deleted it, but I just deleted 3 months of saved textures and work. permit me to go nuts now :/ drac

You might as well throw that leg in the river! ;D Don't go nutz yet Drac, you could use Windowz explorer to search through your drive/s. Good luck and I hope you didn't delete it, that would really suck.

Stupid question, but are you really really sure that it's not still in your recycle bin? If it's just gone in the last few days.......you probably haven't emptied the recycle bin. Surely. Or sometimes you can grab things by accident and dump them somewhere extraordinary, only to find them 6 months later when you're looking for something else. Run a search for a jpeg that you definitely know is in the folder, and you might be able to find the whole thing. Commiserations and group hugs :(

I can feel your pain. Three years ago I burnt my entire first years worth of Bryce projects to CD, br4 files, raw TIFF renders, the whole shebang. I them promptly deleted the files from my computer (to save precious space) knowing that my files were safely archived. Or so I thought. Several months later I attempted to retrieve some images from the archive, only to find out the only thing I'd burnt to the CD was a Windows "shortcut" to the folder where the images used to be (which was long deleted). ARGH!

Hey Drac.... Download System Mechanic Pro from the link..... (30 day trial). It will allow you to recover deleted files. If you haven't saved and written over the space the deleted files occupied you should be able to recover the files you deleted. Hope it helps. There are 10 kinds of people: Those who know binary, and those who don't.

I had just done an entire pack of skies for my jumbo skies pack, and all the promos, blurb, thums, extra images, layered promo files etc. were in this folder named Combo Skies.....wait a minite I'll get there, well I thought I'd check to see if the gallery app had left any hidden database files in the folder and I went to attributes and thought I was asking to see hidden files, when actually I was 'hiding' that folder, talk about going ballistic, I thought 6 hours of promo work had gone down the tubes not to mention 80 of my BEST sky photos.... I did a search and found the folder in some remote flea ridden area of the hard drive...you may have in advertently hidden the desktop icon for your file, don't give up, my XP gets a bee in it's bonnet sometimes and removes icons off the desktop, and stores them in the Windows folder, don't know why.

Now I keep one of those weekly/monthly planners books... on the 15th of each month I do a backup of all the files I use the most, models, textures, templates, br5 scene files, new purchases, marketplace items and promos and that month's freebie dls. The planner is always open on my tablet, helps me focus on what I need to do that day, week, etc. Don't keep a digital one cause it might disappear....

Drac there are times when I wish I had gas and match... this is one of those times. Hehe I just had a drive making a clicking noise ARGG then totally fail just as I started to back it up on DVD GRRR. I took it out and shook it like a doll! And screamed "Give me back my files you damn inanimate electronic magnetic storage device of the devil!" Plugged it back in and the darn thing worked. Sometimes, they like people need a little hostile violent threats of encouragement. Remember this story Drac

Well, I bought a 200GB USB hard drive and I back everything up onto that every week. (Uncompressed ... just copy all the new stuff over ...) Ricky PS: hope you can restore it all.
