hi, i've been looking thru all the galleries and poser 5 intrigues me alot. however i'm not totally convinced i should buy it, is there any way that i can get a trail download from a site or something just to test it out? to ensure that if i buy it it is totally worth the cost?

Use the link for CuriousLabs, the makers of poser. You can find out and DL trial versions.Dizzie posted Sun, 25 April 2004 at 2:52 AM

When did they quit that? Not very bright, if you ask me. I wouldn't have bought P4, if not for the trial. Not that I can go back to P4 after P5.

Make sure you get all the patches and updates for P5. Most importantly, install SR3 BEFORE you run Poser5. IMO, P5 is damn good and I'd never go back to 4. Even though I still use the P4 renderer (in P5) from time to time, there are so many useful options that P4 seems crippled by comparison.

You want to install Poser 5 Service Release 4.1 Updater and Poser 5 - Service Release 3 Figures Updater before you reboot your computer or run Poser. (Let's be sure to keep up-to-date!)

I like SR 4, now that they finally uploaded the right version. :-) It does hang during renders every once in awhile, especially if you're using dynamic hair. But you don't lose any work, you just have to try again. And I've noticed that I can now render Neftis hair that used to choke Firefly before.

The free content alone is worth the price... that means you get P5 for FREE. For example... if you buy 10 model for $20, that $200... plus you get more than 20 models... so it's like getting Poser for FREE

There's still the Pro Pack demo available. At least that'll give you an idea of what Poser is all about :o)FREEBIES! | My Gallery | My Store | My FB | Tumblr |
You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
