I was browsing throug my saved internet images and found some old pictures of some liberty illustrations. Personally I love art deco', art nuveau, jugendstil and in particular liberty. I was just guessing which art style (don't know if it's called so) do you like most. cheers Vasq

It may seem a bit noncommital, but I actually like a little of everything, focus is on Surrealism, Realism, Impressionism. Liberty? Jugendstil? I'm not familiar with these terms as applied to schools of art. Could you describe them, Vasquez? Thanks, John

jugendstil and his son liberty, are 2 schools of art born between XIX and XX centuries in europe in particular in the german region. Wien is the most important city for these schools (but it was born in Munchen), their partecipant wanted to have a sharp cut from the mainstream school (jugendstil=young style). they are at a first look quite similar to art nuveau and art deco, but more related to nature. one of his master (in visual art) is Alphonse Mucha, but what I prefer most is the architecture style and decoration of jugendstil. Sorry but I can't found any english page with a good explanation og jugendstil, but if you search for images with googles there are come good examples. cheers

I very much like gothic or gothic influenced art, Expressionism , surrealism. I like both dark moody colors and vibrant bright colors. I also like oriental infuences in artwork. I especially anything with topics related to insanity, psychosis, schitzophrenia, depression etc. And sci-fi/space related artwork ofcourse, as obviously visible in my gallery.

Although I'm 100% sane (and I've got 12 hours of psychological analysis to prove that) I've shown symptoms of all of those things, it fascinates me, I just think it's interesting :)

BTW, the image came from noir.com or something like that. Thought I should give some credit :)

Me, I just like anything that I can understand. Being a person of brain with great width but almost zero depth (..errm.. or is it vice-versa??) I like Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Surrealism (especially Dali and Escher), Michealangelo & Leonardo and their ilk, Impressionism (esp. Turner), some Manga, Heavy-Metal comic-book art... the list goes on.. I don't much like abstracts (nor cubism, really), the "modern" Brit-Art (including Freud), nor "choccy-box tops" type pictures. My tastes in music follow similar lines:-)) Having said all that, the pictures that I actually create tend to fall into the "what works for the majority" category:-(( (On a re-read of the above I almost decided not to post, but then though "soddit", why not?)...:-) Cheers, Diolma
