I have two problems. Hope, you can help me. 1.I need CMYK-Picture-export. Is it possible? 2.Objectexport is not possible. Export-Button under File is grey at everytime. Export from library is only in Bryce-Format. Import is ok. I works with Bryce 4 german & w2k Robert (bad english, i know :))3ddave44 posted Wed, 04 October 2000 at 6:31 PM
Robert, Only terrain objects can be exported... !!! It's terrible. Some fancy things can be done with the terrain editor - it's not limited to mountains and plains - and actually exports decently. And I don't think you can specify a CMYK export or save either. I would save work as a TIF and then (if you have photoshop or some such) convert that to CMYK. Sorry to be the bearing of bad news... : ) - Dave www.citizendave.com

Thank you Dave, I know that things with terrain editor, but I think this editor is terrible to use ;-). Could be, I must work much more with it. Convert CMYK is what I do and I hope there is another possibility. Robert www.robokopp.de

You mean i,ve just spent 2 weeks working on a modle in bryce 4.1 and i cant export it????? anyone wanna cheap copy of bryce?

Yea its one of the mos frustrating things about bryce. The only thing you can export is a terrain. For this it works great but that's it. It really stinks because the materials editor is one of the easiest to use yet even if you import a 3ds file you cannot get it back out again. In retrospect for much work rendering the final product from bryce yeilds rather good results. It all depends on what you wish to accomplish.

You can re-export any object you import into Bryce. The method is one of those hard to find key combos. Select your object (doesn't apply to primitives, sorry). Click on the 'E' as though you were going to smooth it. Then hit Ctrl/D when the smoothing window appears. The export options will appear as well as the usual 'where to?' box.

Hi Gary, If I do that ( E Ctrl/D ), Bryce crashes. I'm using the German Bryce 4. Could be, that's the problem. Robert www.robokopp.de

Sorry, Robert. I'm not familiar with the German ed. I'm surprised that there is a difference re: the keys. The function should be there, however. Perhaps some experimentation would be in order. I believe it works for Bryce 4.0.1 and above. Gary

Hi. Next time, I test some other Keys and if I found the right I give feedback. Bryce crashes too, if i have a big scene loaded and want to open another scene. I think it's possible, that there is a fault in my installation (or w2k). Robert
