The winner of our April challenge, rodluc2001, has selected the theme for the next challenge. "UNDER THE BRIDGE" What happens under the bridge ? a river in sand bank, a homeless who sleeps, something lurking in the dark, or maybe just a road going to new places ... The picture should be about a bridge and what lies under it. Imported objects or characters are welcome aslong as they don't attract attention away from the bridge. Good luck to all !

Hehehee - I could cheat :-) http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=618200 and http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=568062 (you can only see the shadow of the 2nd bridge in this one as it's directly above) :-)

Maybe there will be a bunch of people under a bridge beating up last months winner (after seeing his post-win picture... see URL) ;)

... or maybe last month's winner burying a bunch of people ...

Eheh.. all the more reason to remember to post challenge images anonymously. You don't want your face ending up on that board. (by the way, I know some people who will be offended to not be on the board already :) )

Trolls dwell under bridges. ;-)

I'm looking for a model of a bridge for one hour now and couldn't find anything worth using. That's sad, because I've many different ideas on my mind, but without the right model I'm not going anywhere and that makes this challenge very restricting in my opinion. I just want to start playing with Vue, nothing more and I shouldn't be spending hours to find a useful model. Oh well, I guess I have to wait for the June challenge.

Excellent models and ... wow, a bridge! http://gracia.fab.free.fr/page_3.htm

Excellent models and ... wow, NOT the stone bridge I was looking for! It might help if you read ("couldn't find anything worth using", "without the right model") or ask first ("what kind of bridge") before you assume that I don't know how to find any bridge at all.

Artico - Sorry, and I do not wish to start a flame war, but the second paragraph of your reply to RDS's attempt to assist seems unnecessarily lacking in grace or good manners. It is not the way to encourage others to offer help in the future. I see nothing in your post that suggests you were seeking a particular type of bridge model, and if you were, it might have been better to say this in the first place, rather than gratuitously rebuke someone offering genuinely intended assistance.

agiel posted Wed, 05 May 2004 at 5:54 PM

Another possibility could be to make the bridge from Vue primitives. Artico - I have to agree with Flycatcher.... that was uncalled for. There was no reason to be condescending. Keep that in mind for your next answers to this thread...
