Hi, to any one who may have missed it, TheMadPainter and I have a couple new downloads and images up at our pixelhaven web site. Her main computer motherboard crashed on her, so she was delayed in getting these posted. I announced the freebies in the product showcase last week, and put them up on a temp link on my old web site. The pixelhaven site has now been updated, and you can find the items there as well - look in the download section. Also, some new artwork by TheMadPainter. :O)hauksdottir posted Sat, 08 May 2004 at 11:33 PM
Hope that her computer is happier now!

Well, Kitty is happy now that she is back up and running again. I guess her computer is also, since she ended up making an upgrade - and while she could have done without the expense - she now has a very nice system to do Poser things on. So, I suppose that would be the silver lining. BTW, big congrats too you and your recent rise to new found fame and fortune. (okay, well maybe just a little fame, and certainly a bit of good fortune) It couldn't have happened to a nicer gal. :O)

Nice? Shhhhh! I'm working very hard on building a reputation as a curmudeon. Curmudeons get quoted. If they are really interesting, they even become intergalactic supervillains with staffs of minions and complete wardrobes of sparkly stuff. Well, the best time to upgrade is when the computer is belly up and you have to put a new motherboard in. After all, if you have to tear the machine apart down to the case and powersupply, you might as well add a better video card and more ram while you have it open! I try not to tamper with a working machine... they sulk... but a dead beastie is fair game. So I hope that Kitty enjoys having a bit more power under the program. We tend to push the limits, though. If we add more memory... we turn around and add more figures and fancier textures to the scene. ;^) Carolly

As my mentor in my Masters program has said repeatedly, History is written by interesting women...nothing of any note was ever recorded from "polite and proper" women. Just a thought.

Call me warped, but I find people who speak their mind, stand their ground, and do not blindly spout opinions someone else generally told them to think...refreshing. So, here is to champaign, caviar, pink limousines, and the curmudgeon needed in all of us.
