Subject: Entry to the May Challenge "No Postwork"

The original shot was just changed from 300DPI to 72DPI... here it is. It's a wee bloom of a marsh plant. In Germany we call it "Sumpfdotterblume"... don't know the name in English, sorry. As you may see the light wasn't that good.

To show you the difference I've posted another version with some postwork to the gallery.

A pretty blooming Marsh plant this is too! I don't know the name for it either, but I like it! :)

It is a marsh marigold (Caltha palustris). As usual I love the original one because I love to see the most realistic version. However it can be art to make something beautiful of it and I think you've succeeded in that very well by softening and framing it.
