I looked over at Animotions an saw something there but the link was no longer working. I have a spiderman as mike but just the comic version someone made, I wanted to get the movie one so I don't have to make the whole costume from scratch and save some time. I did work on a mask, if anyone wants to try it out here it is. Mask is not finished by a long shot, But it looks pretty good, I made it from clippings of photos.

Hmm...my previous post disappeared. If you check out my free-stuff I have a M2 version that was whipped up quickly in my early days here. It may not be too accurate to die-hards, but is not bad Rawn

i found these links while browsing through the freebie section of this site ... when i went to download a file, i got linked to the artist's web page ... the renderings are stunning ... so should be an excellent spiderman package ... he has several superheroes and also a peter parker file ... here is the website: http://www.sharby.net/ and here is a direct link to the page: http://www.sharby.net/figures/spideypak.htm click on the image(s) you want to download the file(s), and then click on this link to get the masks in one file: http://www.sharby.net/propsmorphs/spideymasks2.htm

Oooolalaaaa... now that is the best one I've seen anywhere. Hmmm... maybe improvements on the bump map/tex on the spidey web design will work. Woowoo... a 2099 spidey outfit to boot. Thanks for the link, too.

Yeah, Those textures for Mike3 are cool! Here is one we did using those textures as a template. We modified pretty much the whole thing. Bruce: Great minds think alike. We used Doc Oc on the head too. :) Also notable is the specular map we created to give the suit a mesh type look as well as make the black webbing look like shiny rubber. This was a fun project! Cheers, Joe

How can I get poser 5 to make the webbing look shiny like that?, By the way that looks really cool!

Here is my spiderman, I hated Mikes big nasty bubble shoulders so I went and did away with them with a custom morph I made, While I was at it I got carried away and did his whole body to look like the comic bok spider mans build. I also did a silver surfer and it turned out so good I just had to cry...

Here is my Silver Surfer I did with the same figure, But I made him more massive and still maintained some compact leaness to his build.

I know this costume needs work, I need to do some 3d modeling of the webs, render them with a silver texture and then superimpose them onto the texture with an alpha channel paste up job.

I found this a couple of years ago. I don't remember if this is the movie costume. Hope it serves as a reference for the texture gurus out there.

I used a specularity map to get the shinyness and the webcloth look on the suit. Basically I duplicated the texture when I finished it and then inverted it to make the web white in the specularity map. This made it effected by the lighting in the scene. Cheers, Joe
