Hi, i write you from France. I would like to know where can i find in tryout or demo the software carrara. 'cause i need to know than it's the best software to realise convertion pict 2d to 3D (in dxf for exemple). So i'll be very please to obtain a quick answer. Many thanks to all for your help. Ben.

Ben, I dont think there is or was a demo version of Carrara. I might be wrong but I dont recall ever seeing one. Anyone else know for sure?? Clint

Ben - I don't believe that there is a demo version of Carrara available. If you have any specific questions about Carrara's capabilities, I'm sure someone in this forum can answer your questions. Good luck, Chip

Bonjour j'utilise Carrara et je ne pense pas qu'il puisse rondre ce besoin(de 2d 3d).Cependant,Rhino te permet de crr un 3d en chargeant un dessin ou une photo avec vue du haut,de cotetc Selon les plans d'affichage, tu modes ton objet avec les courbes des nurbs et on sauve sous forme de mesh polygonal .J'ai remment fait un violoncelle en 3d d'apr des photos avec mesures en utilisant cette technique.Un demo utilisable de Rhino existe si tu ne peux pas l'acheter.Carrara peut charger un background pour l'assemblage du rendu (il y a un des tutoriaux pour cela)mais pas vraiment pour faire un model 3d.Bonne chance

2D to 3D? Try Canoma, it's a good program with (sometimes) incredible results... It's a Metacreations product too. I'm not pretty sure, but I think Adobe now has it. greetz!

You can usually pickup a new, unopened Canoma on E-Bay for a decent price.
