Grimsoft has created a free software that gives you an inspiration quote every day, as well as a writing exercise. It's a nice little program (you knew I'd like it, didn't you?), and the price is right (they do ask you to register it so don't download it if that part bothers you). Just to let you know, Grimsoft is also providing one of the prizes for the next Renderosity Interactive Magazine writer's contest: Writer's Deskbook v1.2.0. I downloaded the program and I think poets and prose writers alike will find it a handy tool. The only restriction I see is that it is for PC's only. If anyone knows of a similar tool for Macintosh users, please let me know.
