Carrying on the tradition of quality Props,With efficient modelling detail & high texture quality..another prop set from Stonemason. A new series of props is coming, these will be small & low priced, but as always high in quality. Inspired by the things hidden in the shadows,& in the recesses of the mind...by nightmares and creepy crawleys.(but really just a chance for me to make some grungy textures :)) The first will be this set, "Dark Places:The Sewer", Presented as 11 parented props, you can easily break it apart and form your own dark scenes I'm also taking suggestions for more "Dark Places" so let me know if you have any ideas of scenes you'd like made Cheers Stefan PS:..coming soon, lots more Ruins, but I'll save that for another day :)

Heres a close up of the wall texture. I'll be making each set relative to each other in size & texturing so they will work as modular units..

Very cool .... I always like the hand crank pipes and other pipeworks ...Maybe a little debris would be in order as well

Wow, gorgeous texture work and I love the look of the scene... can't wait! I've been hoping someone would do a neat industrial/cyberpunk looking rooftop set one of these days, which fits with the dark theme you've got established. I'd love to see some underground sewer tunnels too with broken grates and ladders, green slimy things, probably a mutant crocodile lurking somewhere. ;)

I keep seeing episodes of X-Files flash in front of my eyes. Very nice.

stonemason posted Mon, 17 May 2004 at 10:33 PM

x-files :)..now theres a show that uses darkness & shadows to great effect, every episode has an agent creeping through the dark with a torch. Debris-I'm sure future "Dark Places" sets will have Detritus & rubble as seperate props to load into the scene,All of my new ruins sets also have Rubble as parented objects,so you decide whether you want it or not Fashionably_Late- *"I've been hoping someone would do a neat industrial/cyberpunk looking rooftop set one of these days"*...I might run with that idea :) & I'm thinking about some kind of Subterranean environment that could easily double as the inside of a sewer,

I was thinking of something that might be fun .. A sludge layer or something relating to slimy things as well ..

hey I'll have a think about how I could achieve that Ghost. I'd also suggest if you have P5 you check out Ajax's green slime method in the poser forum,it would look great in a scene like this. -Stefan

Stefan, have you seen the old David Lynch movies "Eraserhead" or "The Elephant Man?" Instead of naming a specific dark place, I'd like to suggest those movies' set design and art direction as inspiration. You have a keen eye for sense of space and the beauty of industrial scenery. I look forward to anything your imagination and skill produce.

Once again a great looking set. Reminds me of one of the levels in Onimusha3. How about a subway a dirty nasty subway. Ooh also one of those underground things with trains in them like in newyourk lol.

xoconostle-thanks:)
While I havent yet seen Eraserhead I've certainly seen all the other Lynch films & agree the art direction & overall feel is beautifull..even Twin peaks had a great ambience about it,

Neo
I've always wanted to do a subway..ever since playing Max payne or seeing the Matrix subways...with litter strewn about, vending machines, gates, dark tunnels and lots of pale toned dirty tiles :)

I've also recently been playing "Medal of honor Rising sun",the first level has some very cool interiors, lots of dark corners & pipes, should be a challenge making such an environment work for Poser

"Eraserhead" ? (LOL) I've often said one MUST prove he is a Lynch fan by watching this one all the way through. Interesting film but NOT my "cup of tea"...like, "Pink Flamingos". Looking forward to the set, Stoney.
