Here's a lighter. I spent about fifteen minutes on it.... Body built in the free-form (spline) modeler, as was the metal thing on the top. I did a cylindrical boolean subtraction from the metal thing to make a place for the thumb-wheel. The wheel itself is three cylinders put together. That's it....

very nice :) I was going to attempt a car lighter tonight..never even thought of a cigarette lighter. Did the 15min include the textures? I am going to try to do my model tonight.

Yeah, the 15 included textures. The table top and chrome are stock textures.... The purple is just a color with appropriate highlight, etc. I think it's magic that's holding the wheel on. And, of course, last night when I actually got to look at a REAL lighter, I realized that I entirely forgot to put the thing you press to squirt the flamable gas out.... Oh well.... But this is fun.... Any other ideas?

Very cool! I really like the orange light. I'm just wondering how the lighter is floating there!
