RNDA certainly is providing the much neglected Western Genre with great new items- Pretty much everything (just about) for a great Clint Eastwood movie (Good, bad, Ugly, Fistfull of Dollars, etc.) EXCEPT:

A Serape (like shown on Clint) for M2-M3.

Also need a Hitching Post for the RNDA Watertrough so that horses can be tied up at the local saloon or general store.

There's also a great new excellent Western six-shooter by MDP in the REN Store, but wondering if anyone has made the classic older style pistols in Clint's "Outlaw Josey Wales" movie. Believe these are an older "Navy" or Civil War style pistol.

Another view of the older style pistols.

I think there is some guns like that in Questor's Western Gun pack in the Freebie Archive at DAZ

As far as the hitching post, there's one in the cabin pack at RDNA.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Those are 1847 Colt-Walker .44 six-shooters Josey Wales carries in his holsters. The belt gun is a .44 1860 Army. He had a .32 caliber Colt "Baby" hideout in a shoulder holster. The six-guns used in the Dollars movies were '51 Navies and '60 Armies converted from cap and ball to metallic cartridges. The Virtual Virtuoso Gunsmith, Questor has modeled most of them.

I have thip and renapd's "Native American Victoria" and discovered that it also has a Poncho item I've never used. Looks like I could probably (hopefully) re-morph it to fit M2-M3 and then put a different Serape-like texture on it.

Also have Questors Gun Pak- forgot to check that. So much Poser stuff, so little capacity to know where in hell it all is, even on my own machine.

Still- I think a good "Looks Like Clint Eastwood" character for M2-M3 would be a good idea- HINT to DAZ, RNDA!!!

Would also still buy a more highly detailed 1840-1850's era pistol if someone like MDP would make one- that can be posed as cocked, etc. with nice authentic details.

Should anyone out there be interested in doing a Poncho-Serape, here's more reference shots of the movie version-

I'm not much of a Western fan per se, but I got totally hooked on HBO's new series "Deadwood". This is making think fondly of collecting some western type gear. By the way Poserworld has several Western items, including a great saloon and a sheriff's office, and lots of clothing items and props etc. Believe me the subscription fee is worth every penny. I have not been disappointed since I started subscribing when they first became a pay site. One of the best deals around!

Second what artnik says about Poserworld...there is a lot of great western gear available. The saloon and saloon gal costumes are worth the subscription price for 'western buffs'.
