I am unable to find the Hawaii Dems files that come with Vue4pro. Are they really on there?

They are also said to be there within Vue d'Esprit 4, but I, too, was not able to find them :-(

I remember reading somewhere (I think in the manual for Vue D'Esprit 3.1 or 4) that they weren't able to actually include them on the cd's and that you had to go to a web site to download them, but again I'm not sure exactly where in the manual I might have read that. The Vue Pro manual is mostly a re-hash of the Vue D'Esprit 4 manual so the error was probably never corrected to reflect that. If I run across it again I'll let you know. In the meantime, I'll post a link to a site I've downloaded DEM's from when I get back into my email account in a few minutes.

Here's the site: http://www.geocomm.com/ (you will need to register to download, the low end download is free)

Awesome, I thought I had a bunk cd or some strange mishap. I looked for Dems on the internet but I could only find commercial dems for sale. It sounds fun to use this type of terrain. I wish Vue4pro had these files on cd. I read directly from the manual that they were on the cd. Is that false advertising?

I'm not sure if it's really "false advertising" persay as it doesn't affect the function of the program itself, just the tutorial they give in the back (which is almost word for word identical to the verbage in the Vue 3 manual). There's a lot about DEM imports that the manual DOESN'T tell you that I found out the hard way and had to work around because tech support couldn't resolve the issues (certain formats of DEM's wouldn't import, Vue 3 could import 30m data but not 10m data and Vue 4 is the exact opposite, data on the edges of the DEM coming in as a vertical wall making it impossible to actually mesh the dem's, that kind of stuff). Take a look at my gallery (if you haven't already at any rate) I've had a lot of fun working the bugs out of DEM imports :)
