Looking good. Personal hover platform. They'll be selling them soon in the Sharper Image catalog - only $9,999.95 (plus shipping). ;-)

Great! (don't forget the hand controls.)

I've wanted one of those since I was eight years old! Nice start.

Nice hover machine. I'd like to see it animated. Off the topic but how do you get the blue working background on the second picture. I'm tired of working in a dark black box and having my glass objects disappear.

Under "File:Preferences" use the pull down menu to go to "3D View Colors" and set "Background" to the one that suits. Thanks for the comments! It's not and exact replica of the one that flew in the 'fifties, it's more of my idea of what a "next step" would have looked like. I'm woking on a more detailed engine at this point and will post a follow up. I haven't done any animation in Carrara yet, but it's on my list. mike

Animation in Carrara is very easy to get the basics.. I say JUMP RIGHT IN!!.. only thing I reccomend... save/make a Dup of the file.. I have found myself more than once modifing the file in mid-timeline and screwing things up.. always nice to have the org to go back to.

Hexagon, Carrara, Sculptris, and recently Sketchup.
