THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: OT - But need some luck, mojo, good wishes or anything

As some of you may know, I'm (planning on) getting married to the lovely American above and moving from Blighty to Indiana.

Today I go to London for the most important bit. An interview for my fiance visa. Without it, I can't go, I can't get married, I can't leave England and without a job or a home or my love, my life will pretty much suck.

So, positive thoughts please. If you hear about an Englishman jumping of Canary Warf Tower, then you'll know you didn't give enough good thoughts.

Phil

Wow, I am so jealous. Much mojo coming your way. Indiana is much too green for me. I like living out west where it is much browner.lol.gif

We are planning a tiny wedding reception, but to hell with that, I may well invite you all. Could be a bit of a squeeze. Only 5 bedrooms where we're staying.

Thanks for all the good wishes. I'm leaving soon. AGHHHH!!!!!

I sent all good wishes, lit a candle, said a prayer, and danced around the room doing the Navajo Wedding Chant with Prufrock. There now, you should be covered! Not only is she gorgeous, but there is a quality about her eyes that speaks of both a wicked sense of humour and an inner sweetness. You have chosen wisely!

"If you hear about an Englishman jumping of Canary Warf Tower, then you'll know you didn't give enough good thoughts." If I heard that, my first thought would be that it was some needle necked beurocrat that had been thrown off the tower for not allowing a visa ;) Best of luck, Phil.

Best wishes, but really, anyone who can attract such a beautiful person already has mojo to spare, LOL. Best of luck to you both!

VISA arrived this morning. SO I can come anytime. Or rather I would, but would you believe I've been called up for jury service?!! Just my luck really. So stuck in the UK for another month.

Congrats on getting your visa Phil, I hope all goes well for you and your bride to be. It is possible to get out of jury duty if you write to the court and have a good enough reason like "I'm moving to America and getting married". 8) Catlin

drawbridgep ( ) posted Tue, 01 June 2004 at 11:31 AM

To be honest, I have wanted to do jury service for so long that it seemed a shame to not do it after all these years. I was scheduled to do it in July, but I wrote to them and said this really wasn't possible, I wanted to be drinking weak beer and stuffing my face with chili dogs by July. So asked if they could either let me off, or move it to the first few weeks of June. So, they shifted it. But I'm looking forward to it. Just hope I don't get a murder trial or something.

Yes the last time they asked me to do it it was a murder trial that eventually ran for 6 months so I hope for your girls sake it isn't. 8) Catlin
