Attached Link: Glass
There was a program on BBC2 last night showcasing artists and one guy was creating HDRI movies. Although he probably wasn't using Bryce. SO, wasting time here, I thought I'd have a go. Fake HDRI sphere (same set up as my chess set, but couldn't wait for that to render 115 times, so you get a glass of water. ;-) It's just under a meg, so no reason for anone not to download it. Might make a longer/larger one when I get back.draculaz posted Thu, 27 May 2004 at 7:34 AM

very nice...you can see the background bending (because it is a sphere) but I like it a lot. Watched it a couple of times!

Awesome lighting and animation. This is impressive, but if this was done in Bryce then that's incredible. Did you do this in Bryce?

(Sitting in a internet cafe in London) Ain't technology great? THe background is my fiancee's great room. you see my laptop sitting on the edge of the sofa happily rendering away. So yeah, it's a normal photo rather than a true HDRI picture, but does the job. So, yeah, Bryce Bryce and more Bryce. 115 frames and rendered in 58 minutes. Bloody Hell!! I just downloaded the movie here in 2 seconds!!!! Gotta love internet cafes.

Very impressed....and you have time to do this at a time of intense personal pressure...even more impressed! lol.

A bit choppy, but it still looks DAMN good! I'm amazed, and impressed, and i'm glad someone else is doing animations with Bryce these days! Keep at it, and perhaps just set up your chessboard scene now, and render it when you get some faster computing power? I do that a lot, too...
drawbridgep posted Fri, 28 May 2004 at 8:49 AM
Probably choppy cause I knocked it down to 15 FPS. More of a test than anything. I might well try the chessboard now I know it works and up to 24fps. Faster computer would be nice. Oooh, might even make it play a few moves during the animation.

Good idea! Just do the fly around like the glass and have a knight capturing the king...CLASSIC

Check out this for a similar render with the chess set.
