V3 as a perfect face and body. Does someone know what program does DAZ used to create Victoria 3? What programs are most used to create poser figures? Thank you.

V3 was made in Lightwave, I believe. DAZ uses Lightwave and Mirai for modelling. Wings 3D, Rhino and 3D Studio Max are also quite popular. Cheers!

Yes but they use a scanner to get the figure into the program first.

What I would like to know is how to compare V2 to V3. I see a fair amount of work done to put the V3 head on the V2 body, etc., and I'm curious to what extent V2 is better or different from V3, etc. Especially as DAZ seems to be selling them both for the same price.

Ethesis, they're NOT the same price. Sure it may look like that at a glance but in order to get the same with V3 as in V2, morph-wise, you need to double that price.
Right now Daz is having their summer sale, so the prices shown are the sale prices with the original price in brackets.

V3 base 25,97 (39,95)

V3 Head morphs 12,97 (19,95)

V3 body morphs 12,97 (19,95)

Total 51,91 (79.85)

--------

V2 25,97 (39,95)

That said, you do get a more versatile character in V3.
Both characters also come without texturemaps and hair.
V3 comes with a version that can wear V2's clothes, and V2 comes with a version that can wear Posette's clothes. Message edited on: 05/28/2004 03:25

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

I didn't realize that V2 came with the head and body morphs included. Thanks for the heads up.

This 30% discount is permanent so long as you're a member, as are all the other Platinum Club benefits like $5 vouchers each month for FREE and access to over 500 items for only $1.99 each. Join today for as little as $29.95 and get a huge bonus pak of free products valued at over $500 when you join. /end quote Ah, so if you join for $29.95, you would end up paying about a total of $60.00 for the entire V3 package, plus the additional software. I gather that M2 and M3 break down the same way in price?

Yes. M2/M3 are the same. AND as the sale right now puts an extra 35% savings ON TOP OF the platinum savings (or the other way around, I'm not sure) this is a really good time to be a platinum member :oD
