Are you using a terrain for the water? It looks to regular? You need something more fractal/irregular...

Yes I am Using a terrain for the water. I'M just playing around with the settings, I'll try adding more fractal in the terrain editor, maybe that will help. Thanks for the input.

Try to use water not as surface but as volume, to do this press on water icon and hold mouse button

No sign of refraction, diffusion of light below the water's surface, that play of lights from the water's surface(forget what they call that but there's a program that generates those that you can use as a gel in combination with a parallel light). Add a fish or two
you might check in the archives here. It was a hot topic about a year or so ago.
Keep at it you'll do fine if you can get past all the suggestions and develop your own style.
