Hi all,
Just wanted to share the good news. I got my first sale yesterday!
I sold an 8x10 of The Lovers yesterday for $30. It was less than what I wanted, but I sold one!
I mounted the shot with a nice double mat (pink mat with a white overmat) so that it would fit into an 11x14 frame.
Even better, the woman showed it to someone else, who now may be interested in by an 11x14 of the same shot.
Anyway, I just wanted to share the good news. I don't ever expect to make money at this, but there is something about having someone actually pay you that helps to validate your work.

you are now a "Professional Artist"! Ok, maybe not but congrats on the sale. To me the first sale makes the effort, frustration and all around mixtures of excitement, angst and misery all seem worth it. I don't think the majority of us here on Renderosity will ever get rich taking pictures, but selling one every once in a while is a thrill, knowing that somebody thinks enough of your work to want to buy it and hang it up at their home. Way to go! Jack

Congratulations! Kinda gives you a warm fuzzy when someone appreciates your work enough to shell out cash for it! Must be doing something right - keep it up! (Nice shot, BTW!)
