Hello, I know I should post this to complaint - but I'm afraid noone is reading it there - so I post it here: In the last 2 weeks I recognized a general - should I call it - tireness around at the poser-places. I don't have enough time at the moment to stay simply in contact with the group - but I sensed that also a new update at my site with a lot of textures couldn't wake the most of you up ... Maybe it's time to take a rest in bringing up new stuff ?? Maybe the most of you have enough work to do ??? I also see there are not sooo many new things up in free stuff ... (yes, I know about the new forum and I'll post this there also). What do you think - am I right or not ???

Well, I think there are lots of possible reasons. It is the end of Summer in the Northern Hemisphere, school has just started in the US, the holidays are just around the corner, Mercury is going retrograde, and we are all still recovering from all the changes.

Don't forget Sunflare activity... that's ALWAYS a possiblity! =)

I have been working on about 8 things .. I know there is a number of contests that are all overlapping and stuff and a lot of people are just plain busy

Autumn is a time when all mammals begin to slow down, and we are mammals. It is also a time when even the stoutest of souls can suffer a tad bit of depression, and managers in the IT industry begin to put pressure on to complete projects harder than in the spring and summer months, etc. I would not panic and think the Poser users are in a permanent slump. Instead, I think most are probably regenerating their creative juices with much needed rest, or else like myself are so deeply involved in a very difficult project in Poser that their time is taken up. I do not even attribute this quietness to the various forum wars. If anything, I believe the quietness is something long overdue. Now one can truly focus on perfecting skills and art. It is nice to see a quiet forum, where there is not a brujajah a week or more.

I think you answered your own question..."don't have enough time..." Besides, now there are several forums to keep up with, if you looked at the activity from all it would probably be about the same for this time of year.

Mehndi posted Sat, 14 October 2000 at 5:45 PM

On second thought... maybe it is that the artists of these forums are rather addicted to high drama and the emotions and hormones of crises? Adreniline addiction and withdrawal? Sometimes, in the past, this place has reminded me of this: Only Happy When it Rains I'm only happy when it rains I'm only happy when it's complicated And though I know you can't appreciate it I'm only happy when it rains You know I love it when the news is bad And why it feels so good to feel so sad I'm only happy when it rains Pour your misery down, pour your misery down on me Pour your misery down, pour your misery down on me Garbage

Some of us are so overwhelmed by the massive intellectual energy pulse emanating fromt he Gush-Bore debates.

I have been busy posting here, now's the time for rogue upstarts like me to take over and declare empire. I have refocused my identity to here to be of one who creates, one who has ideas, and one who contributes. You won't find me in Complaint/Debate anymore. It is a waste of energy that is best spent creating. The best thing to do when a slump is percieved is to shake stuff up again. By that I don't mean arguments, but by sharing some great stuff, helping the newbies and being a positive prescence wherever you go. -Darth_Logice

Well I've been busy this weekend, so busy I haven't been to sleep yet, 4 hours of sleep in 68, (not bad for a 35 year old, I didn't know if I could still hack it, of course I'm halicinating like I was on the drive back from Bulgaria, but that's another story :) I spent the weekend integrating some of the stuff I downloaded into my install, upgraded to 4.03, played around a bit, posted my first 3 pictures, got involved in talking to people, and searching for things others were asking for. I'll admit it has seemed slow compared to last week, but the "free stuff" went live on 3D commune, and I'd seen almost none of it before, I even checked out schlabber's site again, downloaded a few things... :) So, tired, yes, but happy! I hope you all have a good what's left of the weekend.. later jb

Well, hmmm...lemme see here...I was out of town Mon - Wed attending a wedding, then spent thursday catching up on the forums (no computer where I was), Friday ran errands, had Dr's appts, etc, and yesterday I spent outdoors getting my bulbs planted for spring which turned out to be an all day project (I planted almost 200 of the darn things) and today I'm just walking around saying "ouch" a lot cuz I got stiff muscles from the planting. I think I'll spend today sorting through and organizing my downloads cuz I KNOW I downloaded a little country church somewhere but darned if I remember where I stuck the zip file...sigh...maybe this coming week I'll have more time for poser and 3D. Ah, so you've rounded the corner and turned 30 eh? Just be glad you don't live in "Logan's Run" (or the 60's :) I started work at a new place on my 30th, it was my placement year from Uni, I knew nobody and none of my mates were back for the new term yet. A thorougly miserable day. But then I met women, and the rest of the year improved markedly :) So a belated Happy Birthday, enjoy it, it goes remarkably quicker from here on it :) later jb
