Okay does anybody have a list of what morphs can be crossed over between unimeshes, and what's the best transfer method? (for new users: Unimesh figures are currently V3, M3, Sp3, Freak, SheFreak and David) Lyrra

Dunno for sure. The ones I found to work perfectly are V3 to She Freak. You can make V3's head morphs work on S3P if you create a V3 morph target. There's a thread here about it. I'm about to try S3P to David. Yup, I'm a sick puppy. :D

An actual application, and not just a Perl script? Cool!

"there will be a way to transfer morphs that are differently grouped from one figure to another" That sounds very impressive! I doubt that DAZ will be happy at the news.

i forgote to say that some mophs you have to rename in a text editer because they need to have chanels. or you can injecct them in a figue, save it and use moph manger.

Deus Virdis, Aeon figures are BASED on the unimesh figures, not standalone products. Same for Ingenue Vickie (3). You must own their base figure to use them, this makes them morphs, more or less. Ergo, they don't count in this exercise. I didn't list David becasue it wasn't out at the time of this post. (by minutes maybe, but hey) And please ... check what you're writing? took me a few tries to puzzle out what you said. Lyrra

Pdxjims - thanks for your informative rundown on the different unimesh types. One question comes out of this, and that is what about Daniel the Aeon hero - does he not figure in this discussion ?
pdxjims posted Sun, 06 June 2004 at 2:44 AM
Sorry, Daniel is an M3 type. For some reason when I think of him, I think M2. Wonder why (grin)?
mathman posted Sun, 06 June 2004 at 3:00 AM
So which of the two grouping methods above does he fall under ? (...I assume its M3 ??)

lyra i apologize my eglish is not so very good. but i do not like to use translatores programs. will never get better if i do those. tho i think that sense they act the same when you loade them onto poser they count they are not charactres for the other figues they do have their own geometery if it is because another figue is require then shefreak does not count either because v3 is requied. for her. daniel is an M3 groupinged figue math man.

This sounds cool going from david to m3... ie morphs. Pdxjims: will your program work on all the daz figures and will it take care of the problems we have been having with lets say morphing m3 to the freak... ie hands problem which I gave up on long ago. I was able to using tailor morph the characters m1, m2, m3, the freak into one another in a number of ways... however problems croped up with the hands poses, etc. Major distortions when you posed the figures in something other than the default poser pose. Brad.

Pdxjims I can't wait for you and Dodger to finish this project and get it out. It will make such a huge difference if we are able to use the all morphs throughout the entire group of unimesh characters. 8) catlin

The one thing the program won't do is adjust the joint parameters, so if you use it to morph the M3 to the Freak, his hands will still pose badly. I'd probably have the program done in a week, if I didn't have other commitments. I hope to have it beta test ready by the first of July. I'll start previewing it in a week or so.

Thanks for the info pdxjims. I never understood how to change the jp's on figures. I suppose i'll have to look for some good info on how to do it. Brad.

For inexperienced Poser users like me any help is a great help. I think it makes me learn and understand more if I have a tool to take me part of the way, so as soon as you're ready pdxjims I'll put my thinking cap on. 8) Catlin
