Though the DAZ texture is very young-looking. Looks kind of plasticky to my eye, it's so flawless.
I think Dave's my new fave! Somebody make him some clothes. Please? :-)

PoserWorld just came out with a clothing set with morphing jeans, tank top and a Business Suit

I don't think so. It seems to come with its own texture maps. I've apparently got a voucher for the upgrade, but haven't purchased it yet.
randym77 posted Sun, 06 June 2004 at 6:43 PM
I don't think the textures are the same. The geometry of the hair seems to be different.

I'm cautious but I think that I will end up liking Dave over Michael 3. His body is more in proportion than M3 (Mike has always been way too long in the waist for my taste) and he appears to have a face that is more morphable into other typers than M3. Just after downloading him, I checked Poserworld and was rewarded with some clothing for him to start out with. The jeans take a very nice leather texture. My render will be in the gallery soon. So, now, we NEED CLOTHES for him!!!!!! And.......some sexy, fetish/gothic clothes for him, please, please, please!!!!! Liz

I really, really wish I could give back M3 and take Dave instead. I never yet managed to get a useful render out of M3, and Dave looks right for me. Those awful awful AWFUL shoulders.
Vicki3 Male looks so odd, I regret that one too.
And Freak is so enormous he can't be an ordinary kind of guy.
So - buy ANOTHER DAZ male package? Can I handle it?
Sigh....

Is that Steph's catsuit??? How'd you do that? I did grab the stuff at Poserworld (boy, they're fast!), and I bought the DAZ clothing package, but I want fantasy clothing more than street clothes. The "Tales of Adventure" package at DAZ has no morphs in it, which I found very disappointing.
tonymouse posted Mon, 07 June 2004 at 10:02 AM
The tailor can fix that somewhat, if your on a pc. or I'll be tring it tonight anyway ;)
tonymouse posted Mon, 07 June 2004 at 10:05 AM
I really like his size and proportions he's just a bit boyish for me so I'm gonna be riding the boy hard and putting him up wet and get some proper age on him ;)

I've never been able to get such good results from The Tailor. But maybe I just suck. :-)
Strixowl posted Mon, 07 June 2004 at 12:15 PM
Not spending another cent on a male figure I rarely use. But I must say Dave was more what I wanted when I $$$ M3. Not wasting any more $$$ on yet another figure and wardrobe. The ones I've got are already to demanding $$$$
AlleyKatArt posted Mon, 07 June 2004 at 1:13 PM
That's just a texture on the figure itself and the spandex morph. WISH it was Stephie's suit, but I'm not that patient.

Oh, Krys - I like the image you have of David above. It came out quite well.
elgyfu posted Mon, 07 June 2004 at 1:34 PM
Yeah I managed to get M3 shirts etc to conform with just a little tweaking - rescaling to between 85 and 90 seems to help. The trousers are a different story though. The wonderful Steve Shanks has just added a great suit set at PoserWorld - what would we do without you Steve!
randym77 posted Mon, 07 June 2004 at 2:07 PM
That looks really nice, Crescent. It's a cute shirt on him. :-) I want morphing clothes, though. I rarely use a character "out of the box."
tonymouse posted Tue, 08 June 2004 at 8:08 AM
I just loaded up the Tales of Adventure in Tailor and the results were much better that I though possible it has been a long time since I have had results this good very little mesh distortion so far. and that is with the super hero morph, the largest change!! very very cool! Tony

Aw, man, Crescent. You guys really want my money, don't you? ;-) You're wearing down my resistance as the sale end date approaches. Very nice picture! -Heidi

David is the new DAZ figure - http://secure.daz3d.com/shop.php?op=itemdetails&item=2250 and there's a bundle available with a lot of stuff: http://secure.daz3d.com/shop.php?op=itemdetails&item=2262 It's unimesh like M3, but is shorter. David can bulk up better than M3 and has a more masculine face, IMO. Cheers!
randym77 posted Tue, 08 June 2004 at 3:40 PM
Guess I'll give The Tailor a shot, then. I really like Dave a lot. Though I don't think his face is more masculine. It's more generic, I think. Rounder and softer. M3's sharp features are much more distinctive, and not easy to change (especially the jaw and the eyes).
butterfly_fish posted Tue, 08 June 2004 at 9:58 PM
I don't know if he's more masculine, more generic, or what, but he's a hell of a lot prettier! ;-) Resistance worn further down... -Heidi
