Anybody with experience using Extreme Morph 3D able to tell me if it's good for doing quick textures for background props? Any quirks about the app I should be aware of? I'm going to download the demo, but my dial up is giving me a hard time today. grr. hehe. Thanks for any feedback.

Extrem Morph is used to make morph targets, not for textures. For doing simple texture work directly on small props, try the free program tattoo (link). It's a little buggy,so do check the FaQ page for fixes. Really the best thing is to use the free version of UV mapper, and either apply a tiled texture,or use a paint program to create a texture. Yea. I don't want to spend that kind of time on background props, though. That's why I was hoping EM3D would be able to do quick, low rez textures directly on the object. I just realized that when they say, "paint the area you wish to affect" they're not talking about 'paint' paint, but just a way to mark the areas you're going to morph. hehe.

Thanks for the link, Swamp. That looks perfect for the hobbyist like me who can't justify the money for one of the big apps and hates texturing in the first place ;) Now to see if it works ok with my hardware. . .

UVMapper Pro has a nice "auto-update" feature that lets you paint in any paint program and see the results applied directly to your model as you go. It's not quite like Deep paint 3D, but it is also several hundred dollars cheaper. 8-)

Yea. I have UVMapper. I'm trying to avoid it for purposes of background props, though.
