This is Syams Franipani.....I can't get it work right :(. Does anyone here have this plant & if so how are you getting to render properly. As you see..the bark looks like crap & the leaves are to transparent & the flowers are blurry. Sigh........... I got it to import into Vue OK..had to lower the trans of the leaves to zero...and it doesn't look anything like this....in Vue it looks as advertised...go figure.

Can't help much with the bark.. but it looks like you may be using a bad transmap for the leaves... Keep in mind you have to have basically an alpha channel for accurate transparancy.... Here is an example of a texture and a "valid" transmap... The displayable portion of the texture HAS to be pure black (0,0,0)

Yah, I got that one too a few months back- it never worked right for me- they apparently made it for P5 only but it never said that in the original release. They finally sent me a P4 version (I use Pro-Pack) but that version never worked well and there were no Mat poses- so all the flower color variations never worked. Too bad, as I am especially fond of Franipani, or "Plumeria" and always hoped someone would make one- but this was a big disappointment. And they seemed to have no interest in fixing it or improving the product defects. Will never buy anything from them again!

I just bought this a few days ago and it is working just fine? It came with two separate folders, one that says "Tropical Trees" (I assume it's for P5) and the other, "Tropical Trees P4." There are no mat pose files, you have to load them yourself, but other then that I have no complaints. Maybe the files have been up-dated since you purchased it and possibly you could get the newer version? I am using Poser4 with ProPack by the way. (:

For each material make sure that the object colour is white and the Highlight colour, Ambient colour and Reflective colour are all set to 100% black. For the leaves set the transparency max to 100% and the Transparency min and falloff to 0%.
