...but also sort of lacked the energy. This is kind of an experimental work in progress. The flowers had the miserable little black spots, and I removed the worst ones. The original was color negative. Here I used the Green channel and applied an "S" curve for contrast. Then colorized using one of Donald's curves. Then liquified the border. Everything needs practice. But notice the slight texture in the petals? Not sure if it is something beating with the real structure of the plant, or if my scanner is starting to jitter. [Just what I need; first replaced the 'puter one part at a time, and now the scanner misbehaving. Grr...]

If your scanner is misbehaving there is only one thing to do...get out the paddle shutters Jinx

Did I not tell you your scanner needed to cut down on the coffee? But noooooo ...you just ignored me. Now look at the poor thing. Jitters ... probably can't sleep. tsk tsk You should be ashamed of yourself. Hmmm... I dunno, Misha. It doesn't look like scanner jitters. It's not consistent enough up through the top half of the flowers. It almost looks like the choice of channel along with the natural texture of the petals. This is probably the 4th time I've stared at this trying to decide. Really odd. Any other images effected like this?

Well I suppose you could selectively apply a soften filter JUST to the petals. That should fix it. Personally I would print the picture on textured paper then paint it with clear gel or something. Bsteph
