I've noticed that a large portion of the forums is spent on people asking where to find specific 3D items that they need. How about a websearch engine dedicated exclusively to 3d sites? I know this is possible because I've seen it in sites like: http://www.posers.net/index.html http://eye.box.sk/ With ALL the members of Renderosity registering their sites' contents, this would be a tremendous resource, don't you think?

Interesting. I'll put that on our list of ideas to look into further. Thanks!

There's one out there some where, I found rhe ural to it from a post in Bryce forum back in May of this year. I just hunted through my favorites folder and didn't find it, so it must have been one of those that I coudn't find again when my c: drive on the internet machine went belly up and I lost my origional bookmarks folder. I have no idea how deep I'd have to hunt into the archives to try to find that post, but for a while I was using that search engine fairly heavily for 3dModels. Just happened to be one of those things I never hunted up again when I replaced the harddrive - there's a few of those I could never find again.

yeah, those websites were fine. 'xcept their scope is limited to only a dozen or so affiliates. If we had one here at Renderosity and only half of the members here were to register, it would be far greater than anything possibly out there!
